Traveling with recliners in Dutch Star

Looking for suggestions on best way to position recliners in new Dutch Star.

It looks as if they will be hitting surrounding window treatments or side stand when bouncing down the road if left in normal position.

We saw they were backward when shipped from the factory but that seems like work to reposition them every time we relocate.

How are other people positioning theirs?

When we were on a factory tour last month, they had turned them facing each other, when the slides were in.

We use Stressless recliners which we bought to replace a very heavy flex-steel recliner. On carpet, they stay in place without an issue when traveling. On hardwood or tile floors they move a bit, but no problem. We chose them because they are easy to move and they were easy to get into the motor home.

I have positioned both facing forward and yes they are heavy. I did that to get more room while we were traveling .

Thank you to all for the input.

Part of my concern is if they keep bouncing against the surrounding wood that it will wear holes in the recliner material or crack the wood. - Maybe it is all sturdier than I imagine?

Thanks. Good to know. Blanket or towel might work.

We turn ours around facing the wall. They do move a small amount during travel but this position works for us.

Front one facing forward and against the front wall of the slide. Rear one facing backwards and the back is against the credenza. Unless I take a curve to fast they don't move.

This seemed like a good position but they seem heavy to move. Also wondered if it would scratch the floor to keep moving them. (We still change locations relatively frequently.)

When moving them out, you have to pull, but when I move them back, I lean my knees into them and push.

I position both of them facing forward and open the recline. Keeps them from moving.

Traveling with recliners in Dutch Star

“Bouncing around”? No, I think not. We have two LazyBoys that sit against the wall facing forward, one on each side of the coach. One is on carpet in the LR slide. It never moves anywhere. The other is on the hardwood, and occasionally would drift a little. I bought one of those shower grab handles st HD— the kind with a large suction cup at each end. Chair against wall, grab handle on floor, problem solved.
