Trip Travel option - Must Have, Nice to Have, not needed?

Found a LADP on a lot that is near perfect for us, floorplan, options have everything we'd like except no trip travel. The color is not exactly our first choice but it is beautiful.

So my question goes out to those that have this option. I like the concept of being able to rotate through the silver leaf while going down the road, so if ordering we will have it. If buying off the lot is it enough of a good option to pass on a coach without it? Also can it be added as a retrofit? It seems to me it's most likely just a connection into the silver leaf program and dash navi screen. I just don't know.

So those with the system and knowledge of it please chime in.

I am also interested in this, as I have a similar situation, bought my LADP off a lot and it did not have the trip travel option. I had Trip Tech on my 2014 MADP and really liked the info it provided. I inquired to Coretronics, the mfg. of Trip Tech to see about a retrofit and they told me that Newmar was no longer using Trip Tech as they, Coretronics were phasing out that product line and would only support it for a limited time, but thought Newmar was using a Silverleaf version of same. To date I have not been able to confirm this from Newmar, however I saw the key pad for a Silverleaf version, of one of their VMS systems on the dash of a 2017 Essex. Maybe someone can confirm Newmar's use of the Silverleaf system and which model?
