Trouble adjusting volume on outside Bose sound bar

the only way i can change the volume on the outside
sound bar is the raise the volume on the radio. I am using XM radio.

I had that problem too, until I tried using the Bose remote control and was able to control the volume.

If you hav th clarion 405 change the fade toward more rear volume. The outside Bose speaker feeds from the rear speakers
