My understanding was Good Sam had the problem as they had some type contract for GS members to get .05 a gallon discount at PFJ. Until that contacts over PFJ has to honer it. Anyone that has the TSD card knows it a drop in the bucket compared with the TSD program. This makes me wonder if GS had some similar discount with PFJ and Marcus collected the .50 a gallon and passed on a nickle to us.

Could I ask a favor? Are any of you able to check the Allsup’s in Jal,NM for a discount through the app before I sign up?
I hate using their truck lanes as they’re across the (somewhat busy) street and their auto pumps are slooooooow. They’re typically 50 cents or so cheaper than the pilot in town though.
Thanks!

"I have never seen an RV dedicated lane in a truck stop."
There is a TA station off I-8 in Yuma that has 2 lanes on the far left of the truck islands that are marked "RV". Difference, I was told, is that the AZ .08/gal commercial fuel tax is removed, so youre paying the same as the diesel pumps on the auto island. (Didn't stop plenty of big rigs from using them, though. Maybe they paid the tax inside before they left? .) If that is the case, probably other stations in AZ that have RV lanes also. I did not have a TSD account at the time but I presume it would not have worked at those pumps. I asked TSD about the tax issue. She said that in all states except OR, TSD handles the taxes.

I find this strange that Pilot/Flying fish hook just recently found out what TSD Logistics was doing reselling their fuel. I`m not a smart guy but I`m pretty sure someone from each company sat down and negotiated how the discount would work on both ends. Now if TSD didn`t disclose this, shame on them but if the Pilot/J people didn`t research it better then it`s their own dang fault. Either way getting my fuel from Love`s is fine and dandy with me.

Obviously from now on I will be getting my fuel from Love's whenever available using my discount card. Pilot/FJ and Good Sams could probably care less that a few RVers stop using the GS card and pumping diesel at Pilot and FJ stations.
However, in reality the main reason I keep my membership in Good Sams is for the .09 diesel discount. I rarely if ever purchase anything from Camping World. Maybe by them not honoring the fuel card they will see their membership numbers drop in the future.

I use my Costco Visa card to purchase fuel & I get 4% back. That equates to .12 to .15 off per gallon at any fuel station. I stop at quite a few Maverik fuel locations out here in the western US as they are very large volume & best prices to boot. I pay with my Costco Visa card & always get my 4% back off cash price.

You are entirely correct - it has been reported in another thread that a former beancounter from CW was hired by a member and heard directly that GS is making a FORTUNE off of the members fueling - to the tune of $30+ every fuelup. That is a massive profit center for them as it is OUR MONEY that they are taking and giving us nothing for it.
I'm done with GS and I know a lot of others are too.

If you believe him over Cummins then by all means don't fuel at Love's.

Late model engines do not have any natural rubber components in them that would be effected by ULSD the same as by biodiesel, so they have already been "prepared" for the use of biodiesel, whether or not the engine manufacturers want to publicly admit it.
The diesel fuel supply in this country is ALL THE SAME, there's only one grade of diesel (crap 40 cetane) and biodiesel is being added to it at the distributor or terminal level to replace what was removed (lubricity) by removing the sulfur to get to ULSD. So everyone is getting the same stuff. Pretty much as production increases, the nationwide concentration will slowly increase from 5% to an eventual 15%, but it also can vary in the specific station's tanks b/c winterized diesel doesn't have bio in it (or very little) and instead has #1 diesel or kerosene in it.
Bio might have a bit less energy per gallon, but it does however increase the cetane number and lubricity of petro-diesel, which is a GREAT thing since the ULSD standard also makes the fuel more "dry" and less lubricating for the pumps that NEED it.
Biodiesel also cleans the fuel system like liquid brillo, scouring off all the badness from years of petro-only diesel slime in the tanks. Higher concentrations will eventually clog filters with all this crud, but that's what the filter is designed to do.
If you lose a couple filters in rapid succession after a tank or two of greater-than-20%-biodiesel, it is just your tank and lines being cleaned. Don't panic, The cleaning efforts will calm down after the debris is removed to the filters.

Has any one used the TCS card from FMCA? I signed up with them, but you can’t see the stations or discounts until you add funds to your account, it’s run like a pre paid debt card. I did add $100 to the account and it looked like they at the time had different stations than TSD had. The other issue with the FMCA program is if your are inactive for 90 days the change $10 per month, you can put the card on hold with a phone call but you can’t see the discounts until you reactivate it.

Doesn't sound like a good deal, IMO.
