I guess this afternoon will be my first use. It's a short 4 hour trip, but there is a Loves in SC with good pricing from the spreadsheet, which leads to a question-

Is the ""Best Discounted Price" what we pay or this will have the %% added to it.
The 10% fee is added to the difference between the retail and discounted price.

I made my first purchase via adding my card number to the Love's Application on my Smartphone. The Love's app is great - much better than the Pilot App. You can start the pump directly from your phone! The non-cash price was $3.13. I paid $2.61 per gallon (this includes the TSD Fee). Not bad! Plus, I can now use Love's truck stops without going inside. Tip: get the Love's Reward Card from the counter before setting up the app. TSD has added a control number for added security on new cards. This must be submitted for each transaction.

While I agree that I could find a similar price at a small station off the interstate, the hassle and unknown travel conditions make this card a "No-brainer" IMHO.

I also added the EFSCardControl app to track purchases. Next steps - Add TA and maybe Pilot.

OK, next question....

The pump said $165.00

The app now says $131.17

So, a $33.83 savings.

They will now add 10% ($3.38)

So I'll be charged $134.55??

If so that is a good deal, pump price was $3.04 and this works out to $2.48 a gallon.

Anyone have any experience with it? Seems like a decent deal. I'm sure they make $ on the backend but if they're saving me $, what do I care?
I received my TSD Card today and downloaded it to the site just a few minutes ago. I just checked the prices of Love's on US 27 near I-4 and Love's at Auburndale Exit on I-4 in Central Florida. Advertised price at Love's was $3.149. Local Wawa Diesel was $2.80. TSD price was $2.594 at 27 and $2.574 at Auburndale.

So, a net discount price of 16 cents a gallon less than Wawa after paying the 10% TSD fee.

The staff at TSD said the more people they have in the program the larger discounts that expect to get. Also, working on getting other major companies to join in and the volume will help get those prices lower as well.

I hope this helps people thinking about it in Central Florida area for sure.

1)Did anyone else have to provide their social security number?

2)Do you know if they do a credit check? Our credit is frozen after having my social security number stolen and being a victim of Identity theft.

Having to give my social is a bit of a red flag for me so just wondering about other's experience.

Thanks.

1-Yes
2-No

They don't do a credit check because their "exposure" is to a day or two of fuel fill up before they draft the money out of your account.

I have received so many letters from companies that my CC#, DOB, SSN, Name, Address and everything else about my life has been stolen in a "data breech" that I'm kind of numb to it all.

It's good to be concerned, but I don't think it's a deal breaker.....

On 272 gallons I saved $83 over the pump price. It’s well worth having this card. Please put me down as your sponsor if you sign up.

For those with concerns over ACH, has anyone thought "what if Their servers are hacked?" How secure is their system of record??

Having said that, I've just submitted my application but that is certainly a concern I have.

My thought is that if their servers get hacked I'll get another letter in the mail that my personally identifiable information has been compromised. I've received enough of these letters to wallpaper a small bedroom.

Always take care with your credit -

Check your credit report annually for unusual activity

Put a credit freeze on your credit

For the EFS card use a bank account with no overdraft protection that can pull from another account. Only maintain the minimum amount of money in this account to cover anticipated fuel purchases.
