Turbo boost numbers 370 Cummins

My '04 DSDP has the 370 Cummins. It seems sluggish when accelerating onto the interstate. I have a Trip Tek monitor on it that says I am getting 21psi of boost at full throttle. Does that number seem right?

Our prior coach had a 350 HP ISC. Max boost was 22 PSI @full throttle.

What we learned on our Essex with the 500 ISM engine that the computer reading for boost is limited to 32 PSI. Added a mechanical gauge ( a line running from turbo to a gauge) and got reading as high as 45PSI. With our X-15 605 again the highest reading we have seen is 32 PSI.

I think your ISL has the vgt turbo and common rail fuel system. boost pressure is a little higher than ISLs with the caps fuel system and non vgt turbos k have a 04 Coach boost tops maybe 23-24 psi.

21 lbs of boost sounds a little low for an ISL engine. My C8.3 normally produces 25 psi at full throttle, but with the new turbo configuration I am getting 32 lbs. Big difference a few lbs will make.

Turbo boost is more power. Low boost lower performance.

I would say yours is definitely low. My ISC 350 gets 30lbs.
It looks like yours has the ISL, yes it's low.
