Turn on big security lights 4097

Hello, how do you turn on the big security lights located on either side of the coach on a 2002 mountain aire 4097, thought it could be done on the security light switch in the control center..maybe another switch somewhere to turn the power on to it?

Thanks, fred

MY 99 Dutch Star , has the two switches , one for each side , above the entry stairs . Time to check bulbs and fuses if the switches don't turn the lights on.

On my coach the security light fuse in in the back 12 volt fuse panel , beside the 120 volt circuit breaker panel . 20 amp fuse with the purple wire on the left side.

On our 2001 DS the switch for the one on the drivers side is on the slide out next to the couch location with the other light switches. The ones on the passenger side are the security switches above the passenger seat. Both of those had blown fuses when I bought the coach. Fuses were in the bedroom 12V fuse panel.

On my 2005 KS both switches are in the electrical panel in the front by the entry door.

Check your bulbs, those switches are what turn them on, two switches in the control panel above the passenger seat.

We have a 2003 Mountain Aire 4097. The switch for the passenger side is in the control panel above the entry steps. The switch for the driverís side is beside the sofa along with two other light switches.

Look just below the window at the end of the sofa toward the drivers seat. You see a separation in the molding with a white area. That is the group of switches. It is the switch nearest the front of the sofa.

Iím not able to post the picture but I hope my description helps.

In the area you speak of i only have 2 switches, 1 controls little overhead led spots in slide and other controls the wall mounted lights...I guess the control panel switches are the ones that turn on the outside security lights. I found a fuse panel in the top dash area in front of drivers seat but isn't labeled so have to find a table that shows what fuse goes to what...didn't see any fusebox in the bedroom anywhere.

Look on the inside of the lid to the fuse box on dash.
I have a security switch above door for curb side security light and for the street side the switch is next to my coach on the slide wall behind the driver seat. If it's not there look at other end of slide?

My 99 has the same fuse panel & diagram for Newmar installed items , in the front ( dash area ) of the coach ; and the fuse panel that I posted #2 in the rear , next to the 120 circuit breaker panel.

I've found fuses in ten locations , in my coach , 4 for chassis ( Freightliner installed ) and 6 for coach ( Newmar installed ) and 10 years of ownership and keeping notes , I'm not sure if I've found them all .

omg!, I finally found the electrical/fuse panel located in the bedroom...by accident.. I rarely open the rear slide but did so to change bedsheets..then curiously checked all the drawers and cabinets at foot of bed not accessable when slide is closed...wala! there it was...so fuse wasn't blown so I'll check the bulbs themselves...I noticed someone talked about an led bulb upgrade in another thread..does anyone know the exact bulb replacement? thanks!
