TV Antenna Question

Hello,

We are out for our first camping trip in out 2008 Canyon Star 3641 coach. We are having trouble with out TV reception and are not getting any channels where we are. For the digital stations it is saying the signal strength is low. Is there an antenna booster button to help get a stronget signal? We had one on our camper but do not know if there is one for this new coach. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

My booster is on a ( light ) switch plate with a black button in the middle. When pressed a green light is illuminated.

Some have a small switch, some a button, some a green light and some are red.

Yes, all coaches with TV antennas have a booster. Agree with Ken's description. They are located up front in close proximity to the TV. Most likely on the wall inside a cabinet where the other A/V equipment is.

Note: if you ever use CATV, turn the booster off, it disrupts the signal.

Newmar puts some booster switches behind the passenger seat.

I'm not sure that "all coaches with TV antennas have a booster". I've had my coach for nearly three years and have never found a booster switch. I've used OTA, cable and satellite and have always gotten a great signal. My antenna is not a Winguard--can't remember what make it is.

Suspect your coach is like mine with a Video Distribution Center and if so, the booster is built into it.

If it is a Winguard BOMB(BOx with Many Buttons) the switch does not have to be on. The switch is a for a RF modulator for the DVD player.

The selector switch to most left position is the ant amp button on some tv selector units.
When pushed a red led will come on.
Look on page 3:12 of your Owners Guide.

Has it ever worked for you or is this first time you have tired to view
OTA digital TV. Where were you located. We can google Digital TV signals and give you an idea of what should be available. Good luck

Our booster is in the A/V switchbox in the cabinet above the driver's seat. The switchbox must be in the ANT position for the antenna to work.

Ours is in the box of many buttons. Switch on the far left. Antenna will not work with it off. We added the Winguard wingman antenna booster which is a small antenna which attaches to your antenna . Seems to help some and only $25. It's so good we will never activate our in motion sat receiver. What we don't have we don't need. Renegade RV Mutant #17

My BOMB is a VS-0606/6412 and even the instructions (which Dunner is too lazy to look up) say the switch on the very left is only for the RF modulator for the DVD player. Confused me at first when it did nothing. On my 5er, the red light on the little wall mounted amp had to be on. I thought it was just for weak signals. DUH!.
