Under slide LED light not working

On my 2021 DS 4081, I am having an issue with the passenger side bedroom slide LED under the slide not turning on. The kitchen slide LED works fine. I probed the wires going to the LED light on the bedroom slide and seems to not have power. Could not find any blown fuses but I assume both slide LED lights are fused together. Have no idea where those wires from the led run to or where any splices might be that have been corrupted. Any ideas?

Check the initial power connection to the LED strip.
It’s the weak point.
My ground effects LEDs went out on my Horizon, when Inspected it, they put the mud flap too close to the power connection and it cracked the connection. They had to move the LED about 3 inches back so the mud flap couldn’t hit it.

Bring your bedroom slide in a few inches and then extend the slide back out. There is a micro switch (or some type) under there that turns the power to the LED under slide lights off/on. Mine did the same thing and it took me a few tries to correct.

Ditto what ewlee said, I had the same problem. Slide not 100% extended.

Thanks guys. Just moved slide in a few inches and back out and now it works! This forum is awesome. Where is that micro switch located?

The LED lights under the bedroom slide are controlled by the slide controller. The slide must be completely extended and the controller has to amp out. So the controller will not allow power to the LED's until the side is fully extended and the slide motor amps out. You can confirm the controller has amped out by seeing "00" on the controller display. On my MA the controller is mounted on the frame rail in the passenger side basement just forward of the pegboard compartment. When extending the slide just make sure you hold the switch until the slide stops completely.

In contrast, the kitchen slide LED's are controlled by a small switch mounted on the exterior wall, bottom middle of the opening for the slide.

Hope this is you fix.
