Universal RV Toll Pass Transponder
My 2020 Ventana 3407 came with a Universal Toll Pass Transponder which was an option when built. Does anyone have any experience with using this and do they actually work?
Thanks
Larry

My guess is you have to call them to activate it and put up a deposit. I think there should be nothing that is obsolete pertaining to the Toll Pass on that late a model coach.

Transponder
Contact them to enroll. Will need the transponder number. It’s on the bottom of the unit.
We use it for convenience. Not the cheapest. There is an automatic charge to activate if you have not used it for a month.
Their website will provide details.

We went through all the paperwork and decided not to use it as there is a monthly service charge that we did not want to pay.
Thanks

I have one from NJ EZPass. Works everywhere and there is no maintenance fee. Have them for my cars too. They're a must have on the East Coast.

Our daughter lives in TX and the TX TAG toll system isn't compatible with our EZPass. For this reason, we ordered the universal module in our 2024 DS. You will need to go online and register your transponder and coach / toad info. You'll be required to link a CC in which they'll charge $50 for prepaid tolls. This money remains on your account as a credit and each time you pass through a toll booth, your balance will be reduced. There is a $15 charge but only on the months you use it. For me, it's worth the occasional $15 charge for the convenience and reduced toll charge.
I still use the EZPass in all states we travel, except TX.

Another good reason to stay out of Texas

Can you imagine someone from NJ talking like that, You might get double charged on your EZ-Pass.

Open Roads has a transponder which works with 99% of all toll systems (there's a few tolls that don't offer pass integration) and no monthly fees. It "just works", only a $24 fee per year plus usage.

I had the "universal" transponder that came with my RV and was only compatible with about half the toll roads and the fees were way too high.
