upcoming trip Bellingham to s lake Tahoe.

Hi all
Our first shake down trip to Tahoe is coming late June! I am concerned with our Canyon Stars performance up some of the hills and passes we will encounter. Loaded up, the 3953 weighs in at 24,000lbs and will be towing a 3500lb toad! The Siskious Pass is 4200' and on the way to Tahoe some passes hit a high of 7000' I did it with no problems in our previous gas coach, A 38T Adventurer with 8.1 v8 and Allison 6 speed transmission. I'm Hoping the v10 and 5 speed torque master will be up for the challange. What have you other 39' v10 owners experienced on similar routes? And what route would you take? I-5 To Shasta Then Susanville or I-5 to Sacramento then left on 50?

Go through Shasta and pick up 86 around Mt Lassen. (Also a great drive through the park. Toad only). Stay on 86 and you go through Truckee to S Lake Tahoe. Quickest route is the 5 to Sacramento and then left on 80 through Donner Pass.
