Upgrade to larger TV.

Has anyone replaced their outside TV with a larger one. Anything I should be aware of? Thanks. Click image for larger version

We have a 2011 Essex and replaced the outside TV about a year or so ago. We put in a 49" and a soundbar that fits under the TV and it's great. Be careful to make sure you get the correct bracket to fit the TV as it needs to be fully retracted into the bay in order to close the bay door. Only downside and it has not really been a problem, is that there is much less lateral tilt adjustment in the bracket due to the overall size of the TV. There was a lot of "swivel" room with the standard TV but much less with the 49". Picture is awesome and much improved outside viewing & sound especially when you have a crowd watching the Astro's win the World Series

Not so much worried about lateral tilt since mine is located in the basement and not in my slide like newer models. Just need to make sure it will swivel enough to view sitting closer to the front on the coach.

Your pic may just be deceiving, but from the picture the compartment looks very shallow

I took the 32 inch from the overhead inside and put it outside. Used the same mount. I put a 40 inside in place of the 32. I got rid of the surround ,moved the speakers up by radio.

Stewart, it is shallow. The gray board is only about 5" in from the door. If I can figure out how to remove it there is some more room behind it, not much but some.
