Upgrading from a 2005 Kountry Star.....

Like many of us, I suffer from upgrade-itus. I recently sold my Kountry Star and am now looking for a slightly newer tag axle Newmar.

What exactly am I getting for basically double the money I sold my KSDP for in a 1 or 2 year newer Dutch Star or Mountain Aire? From what I can see, I go from ISC to ISL, get a bigger inverter, the elusive tag axle and that's about it. OK, and a little more floor space.

Is the step from the 330hp ISC to 400hp ISL noticeable? Should I splurge and go for an Essex (or similar) with an ISM?

Additionally, I'm blown away by the wild variety I see in asking prices. Seems many sellers are quite delusional. I've seen coaches priced double the low NADA value. My KSDP was immaculate, low miles, had every option, it took me a long time to get it sold for close to low retail.

Is it even worth trying to explain to an over priced private seller what you think their coach is worth? Anyone have any advice doing this? What angle do you begin with?

By all means if your wallet can support this venture......
Yes, you would notice a differance some what, but with the bigger engine in a tag axle Coach comes more weight........
The greatest thing you are going to gain is the Compression engine brake over your exhaust brake.
