Does anyone know the wattage of the USB ports in the wall outlets used by Newmar? We have a 2017 Dutch Star 4369.

Any precautions for using the USB wall outlet ports to charge an iPhone?

That should not be a problem. Normally it is the amperage you need to now for charging phones or tablets. I believe most USB ports are 5vdc 1.0 or 2.1 amps. Even if it is more than that, your Iphone has a built in system to limit the charging amps. You should not have any problem using a USB port. That's what they are designed for, charging.

I have no idea about the Newmar. USB powered outlets are usually 1.0 watt or 2.1 watts. Typically they are labelled as such. You can safely charge smart phones with either one. You can operate tablets on either one. However, to charge most tablets you need to use the 2.1 watt outlet.

So unless Newmar does something very non-standard you're good to go with your iPhone either way.

We charge our iPhones all the time using those outlets. No issues at all.

Just make sure you are at least 1000 ft away from the phone while charging.

I think the USB standard is 2.5 Watts (0.5 amps at 5 Volts) but many "Chargers" are 1.5 to 2.5 to as much as six amps.

The ones Newmar uses.. I have no clue but I'd guess 1.5 or 2.5 amps (For wattage multiply by five)

None of them will harm your Incoplete Phone.. (I-phone) as it will only draw what it can eat safely. Limiters are in the phone.

I need 2.5 Amps when using my 'Droid in GPS mode. or hot spotting so just now it's slowly running down
