Which Roomba, and where do you put the docking station?

I'm concerned that the limited floor space in the RV would make the Roomba get underfoot too often. Also, not sure how it would handle the transitions between tile and carpet in our unit. There's a definite lip up onto the carpet sections from the tile.

Oh yeah, I can believe that. Before we had the Dyson Stick, we had purchased one of the original Dyson vacuums. It was terrible and we returned it. That was a few years ago. We were hesitant to buy this one given that experience, but it offered everything we needed and since knew we could return it, we decided to give Dyson another try. We are REALLY glad we gave this Dyson a shot. Best small vac we've ever owned. We're as surprised as anyone!

Sharks tend to get very good ratings and even higher when you divide rating by cost (Bang for buck)

I have a Bissel upright bagless.. And a Bissel carpet sweeper.. I actually like the non-vaccuum sweeper better but .. Well, use them both depending on how well im cleaning (The sweeper is better for daily use, the vacuum for cracks and edges and problem cleaning) I really miss my Fuller carpet sweeper. it was better than the Bissel.

I couldn't believe the amount of stuff (dirt, dog hair, and my hair) that the Shark picked up, had to empty the the Shark 3 times.
Another vote for the Shark Rocket, just purchased this thing last w/e at the Walmart we pulled into before the c/g because the central vac parts were missing*.

Well, I had the thing put together inside of 5-10min...very easy and vacuumed up the living area as soon as I opened the slides. I couldn't believe how much it picked up considering my wife had vacuumed it before we left with the Dyson upright we have at home.

Now a quick funny (sorta) story to explain the * above. We purchased this RV late summer of '12, used it twice that yr, then 3 trips in '13 and took a short 'shakedown' run of sorts last w/e to Lake George. For the love of God, I figured there wasn't one single compartment we hadn't been through by now. So, to my surprise, while setting up the dinette booth bed for my son, I happened to lift the seat panel (the one beneath the seat cushion) and would ya believe what I found??? Yup, all the central vac tools/hoses. The lil lady and I couldn't help but gasp then start laughing.

I'll be curious to see how the central vac rates against the Shark.
