Vacuum suggestions

We're in need of a good vacuum cleaner for our coach. Preferably an upright, but nothing expensive.

My poor DS vacuumed Shurley out last time with a shop vac that did not have the cloth filter inserted...make quite a dusty mess.

We have eyeballed the cordless uprights...not sure how they hold up though..

Any suggestions on a vacuum that will store nicely?

thanks

We just bought a Dyson stick vac for the S&B and we LOVE it. It will definitely go with us in the MH. Way better the current Bissel we have in the coach now.

I did the walmart thing and grabbed a DirtDevil

EZ Lite Bagless Canister

It has a multitude of uses and Walmart sells it for $59. What makes it more useful to me than an upright is that I can vacuum out my baggage areas too and my car....and it stores in a little box I bought for it.

In the old MH used a shopvac 4gal 4.5hp. It also has a blow option for blowing dirt out of places. Works great for all you need. To keep dust down we use the HEPA filter. ALl parts except hose story in the vac. Sure it will be in the new coach!!

Hi Turbofans,
I use the Shark Navigator. It is an upright and corded. Does an excellent job. It's has been with me quite a while and I forgot what I paid for it.

We take our Roomba with us, but we're gone for around 9 months at a time.

For all the other vacuum needs, we have a Eureka Optima. It has a collapsing handle and is bag less. They can be bought just about anywhere.

We have the Dyson Stick. Run time is about 20 minutes. What's nice is that it breaks down to allow me clean the basement and other small areas. It will pick up cat hair too.

We have the shark navigator....sometimes you need a hose...sometimes a sweeper...bagless; small enough to fit under the sofa.....we have used it over two years.

I purchased Sears.com this vacuum. I really wanted a canister so it is easier to get under stuff in the motorhome. We have an excellent Hoover upright (consumer reports best buy) but it just don't get in places I want it to. So we purchased this vacuum and could not be happier. This is also a very highly ranked vacuum in consumer reports. I did want to check out it's performance so I grabbed my hoover and went over the motorhome after using the Kenmoore. There really was nothing left in the carpet that needed to be removed. It breaks down easily and store in a small space under the bed.

Dyson Stick on Carpet?

Hey Dyson Stick users... does it work well on carpet or best just on hard floors?

Hoover Nano Lite. We think it's the best for carpet and bare floors.
We travel with 3 cats and it gets the hair. Small too. Walmart sells them.

I didn't see the Dyson Stick on consumer reports but all tested Dysons scored very low compared to other models. Most top ranked models were also cheaper.
