vent

I have a question, on our cayon star 3641 (2008) there is a round vent under the shower base. Nothing come out of it, when I took it off there was no duct tubing just a hole in the floor for the floor drain. Is this some sort of cold air return? Thanks for your help

More like the access for the drain some have a square panel and some have the round access.

The vent under the shower would allow the heated air pushed down to your tank areas to return to the furnace intake vent area under you fridge.
You would have heated air circulating thru tank areas.
You can also access your shower trap, if you lost your ring, you might say.
