Hi all, new to the Newmar lineup as we are having a 2019 3709 built this winter. There were a few things we wanted to know from Newmar in order to make some educated decisions about specials, but it seems we have run into a few walls with Newmar’s technical information.
1) Battery trays and AGM upgrades...
We definitely want AGM batteries, however the discovery AGMs they use (maybe Discovery, because they wouldn’t actually tell us what they would put in our coach for the $1300 up charge) are crap. We are not adverse to spending money on upgrades, but I have a real problem spending $1 on an item in which I do not know what I am actually getting....let alone $1300. So we are going to get Lifeline AGM batteries after a season or two and the Lead Acid batteries run their life cycle. The question I have is this.....in the All Electric 3709...what is the manufacturer and model number of the battery tray (has to be the all electric model folks as the 8 battery tray is different than the 4 battery tray) I want to know the weight limit on that tray, so any help would be appreciated.
2) Dometic Freezer in Bay 1. We want the Dometic 75DZW...Which really is the cats meow...however Newmar only offers the older style Dometic freezers as an special option...get with the times Newmar... No worries, so we can buy and install a nifty new Dometic ourselves...easy peasy...however...I need the dimensions of Bay 1 so I can be sure that the freezer slide out tray will actually fit. (I already asked Newmar what tray they would install if we wanted one as a special option for the freezer and got 3 different answers) Any info on the usuable LxWxH on that bay would be greatly appreciated...maybe even a photo if possible.
