Here's what I have. It will work with Alexa but it can work with just wifi without an Alexa or a hub:

At the moment I'm using a "slow charger" with my Jetpack (mostly because I don't know where original fast charger is ). So I have to charge for longer periods of time than you would. OTOH I've been told that slow charging is better for battery health anyway.
At first I was charging 6 hours on, then six hours off but I was finding that the charge wasn't always enough to bring it back to close to 100% so I extended the charging to 8 hours with a 4 hour rest. It overcharges slightly but that's better than leaving the charger on all the time.

Hmmmm... Makes me think we need the super slow charger. If we could get the right amps set, then we could just always leave it on potentially.
OTOH, if you could access the admin screen remotely then you might be able to set it up so that the charger would turn on whenever the device goes below some threshold (say 20%) and go off once it hits some threshold (like 90%). My admin screen shows the battery % on it.

IMHO "cycling" the charger as I am currently doing should be a lot better than leaving it on 24/7 which is what I had been doing. My original battery lasted about a year and I replaced it for $20. If this new approach increases battery life to 2 years or more. I'll be quite satisfied!
Your proposed approach would be far more elegant, but I have no idea how, or if, it could be implemented.

Doesn't it run without the battery? One thing about the Netgear Nighthawk that AT&T uses is that it will run plugged in with the battery removed. It can therefore stay plugged in 24/7

No, the 7730L won't operate without its battery.

Verizon unlimited prepaid
We went with the Pepwave Max BR1 Mini LTE and the Verizon prepaid unlimited plan. We just activated the sim over the phone with Verizon and now have internet in the coach! Many thanks on all of the tips in this thread!

NETGEAR 4G LTE Modem
Is anyone using their NETGEAR 4G LTE Modem with the sim for the Verizon unlimited plan? I got one to use with new Mobley sim, but their are comments in the link stating it will also work with Verizon sim cards.
