VTDP / DSDP - Rear Cap Docking Lights Wiring

I had posted a while back about adding docking lights to my 2020 VTDP on K2 Chassis. I did not locate factory wiring near the rear fender wells, however, I have managed to find factory wiring labeled "Rear Cap Docking Light" near the hitch receiver. I was hoping someone might know if there is corresponding wiring in the dash (and general location or where it penetrates at and/or color) so I could install a toggle switch in the factory wiring. I have already installed additional LED lighting and tied into the reverse lights circuit and enjoy the additional visibility; it would be awesome, however, to be able to independently enable these lights. Many thanks in advance!

It might be worth your time to get a tone meter if someone can't specifically identify the wiring. Here is a reasonable on Amazon that can test pairs of wires. Or maybe borrow one from a friend.

I cannot specifically answer your question but can provide some outside the box input.

I’ve spent quite a bit of time under the dash in my VTDP searching for other wires and I mist say, what a rats nest. Very difficult to find and identify wires.

With that said and when I added lighting to my rig, I went with wireless switches operated by remote. I have one of these in my rear chassis battery bay for the rear lights. It’s water proof and works like a charm. So instead of a dash toggle, perhaps a key fob remote.

Thank you, both for the suggestions! I will attempt with the toner and if I swing and miss, I will certainly check out the wireless relay!

Thanks again for the outside the box ideas!!!
