waiting...Waiting....WAITING

Today is supposed to be the DAY. The day we've been looking forward to forEVER it seems. We're supposed to be going to get our new to us Ventana!!!

Now, we're waiting on an overnighted check. It should have been here yesterday but it didn't happen so here we sit...the few things we're taking stuffed in & on the Jeep. All we have to do is put the dawgs in and leave.

I have to say getting this deal done with the bank has been the most frustrating experience we've ever had. We still don't know what they thought we were doing when we asked to be pre-approved & were over 2 weeks ago. I admit, we're somewhat naive when it comes to deals like this but why didn't the bank send us a list of stuff they wanted when we first asked? It's been fax after fax and then another they forgot to send which is why the check was delayed another day. It's not a local bank so that has factored into the wait but that wouldn't have been a problem if they'd communicated early on what was required.

So... please send some good vibes to help the check get here in time for us to go today. It's about an 8 hour dive so we need to leave ASAP!

Thanks!!

The Bank

The bank we dealt with included getting the registration for our used motorhome. It did not come even close to the promised date, about a month past after we called to pursue it. I agree it is maddening when you know you made requests and everything seems to slip thru the cracks. Good Luck with your new home!

Hi KarenS144,
Please consider letting us know what the name of the bank is. There are many banks that cater to purchases of motor coaches.

We got the overnight delivery and started down the driveway when Gary said, "We'd better look at it". Sure glad we did because there was no check. What there was, was more paperwork. We could not believe it. Gary calls the loan dude that was supposed to be handling it. He said since we were purchasing from a private individual, we had to do this other stuff. We told them from the beginning that we were buying from a private individual. The lady that owns the coach even called and talked to the loan dude to make sure he had all the documentation from her he needed. Then there was another form she had to fill out in the stuff that was overnighted to us.

We filled all the stuff out...scanned and sent it back so now.... we're back to having a check (we hope) overnighted which we'll get tomorrow. Today's came about noon but we requested that the bank try for an earlier delivery.

The credit union is CEFCU. It's Construction Equipment something or other and my husband joined it when he worked for a CAT dealer. We thought it'd be simpler to go through them since we've had other loans there.

Boy...were we wrong!

I'd post a pic but since it's not in our possession yet, I'm afraid I'd jinx us if I did. I don't need any more delays or problems. It's going to take a bottle of wine to calm down as it is. Good thing we make our own wine and bottle it in gallon & 1/2 gallon jugs.
