Wall Construction

Speaking of construction methods, I noticed the 2016 Canyon Star has bead foam insulation in the walls, when did Newmar drop the "hung" insulation. The DP's new slide system that eliminates carpet would be a nice touch on the gas line-up.

The wall construction of the Canyon Star did not change. All Newmars are built with hung wall construction. They have the fiberglass mats between the studs. They use bead foam board between the aluminum studs and the interior wall board to eliminate condensation

It's still a hung wall. Newmar has not switched to laminated walls.

The tile floor full wall slide most likely weighs somewhere between 6000-8000 pounds depending upon options.

About 2000 lbs more then the normal full wall slide. I don't think you want that on a gasser, heck look what it's doing to the DS.
