Warranty Issues with 2017 Mountain Aire
Hi Everyone,
I joined here because I am looking for a little help. I am having a tough time working through some serious quality control issues on my Mountain Aire. I want to be careful not to bash Newmar because I am hoping for a positive outcome and this is the 6th Newmar we have had - all have been rock solid - but my 2017 is a different story entirely.
My most concerning issue is that it seems that the coach left the factory without any undercoating at all. I only got under there a few weeks ago and noticed that the entire undercarriage was rusting terribly.
The rep I am working with doesn't seem to grasp the severity of the issue or my level of concern and I don't seem to be getting anywhere with working with him. I wonder if anyone on the forum has a contact at Newmar that I can reach out to to try to work through this.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Does Newmar undercoat their rigs after assembly? I don't think either of our DSDP's were, the present Magna is undercoated.

Welcome to the forum and irv2.
Here is a link to help you get around irv2.
This link will give you all tsb's for your coach, recalls and many other items.
All the links below in my signature have answers for your Newmar.
Some people have used this to stop rust and prevent rust from happening.
Have you call repair service and expressed your concerns about your problem with them, also express your dealer doesn't seem to care.
Enjoy the forum and safe travels.

Glad to have you here in the forum with us. You'll love it here.
My DS is not undercoated and I have almost no rusting. I wold contact a local undercoating service and have them look at your issue. There may be something they can do to mitigate this.
BTW where are you located? Near salt air, or salted roadways?
Happy Trails!!!

2017 with underbody rust! If the dealer can’t help think I would beeline it to Newmar for inspection. This doesn’t sound right. Have a 2016 and underbelly is jet black.

I really want to thank all of you who replied. I'm really trying to be careful to limit what I put out there right now because I just want to give Newmar a chance. I searched the forum and haven't found anyone complaining of an issue anywhere near to the one that I am dealing with, so I think it's a one-off quality control thing.
Does anyone have any contact info for someone up at the factory that I can escalate this to? I really have some faith in Newmar that if I put my problem in front of the right person, they will work it out. The problem, however, is finding that person. Thanks so much!
