Washer ?, Getting Pink out of hot water line

Does anyone know how tho get the pink antifreeze out of the washer hot water line. The washer only uses the cold . I tried opening the valve with the pump on but that does not remove the water.

Washer only uses cold? Never heard of that one. If you have a Splendid combo simply select hot wash, turn the valves on and stsrt the wash cycle.

The washer and dryer (WD) in my MA is located in the rear bathroom. I have a panel on the side of the WD cabinet that I can open to access the rear of the WD to include the faucets. From there I can remove the cap from the hot water faucet and turn the water on allowing the water to fill a cup or small bucket. Not sure if your floor plan includes the same access.

Simply run a cycle, with no clothes, using hot water.

Once the cycle has started, cancel the cycle.

This will get the pink out of the hot water lines.

Good luck.

Splendide has a procedure for this. As stated, turn to cold water, start regular cycle until liquid is seen in the drum, turn to reset to stop fill. Then set to spin so drum empties using the pump. Move to reset once empty and shut off power. Move temperature selection to hot and repeat procedure for hot as required.

Why remove it???
In my NA I had to put it in so over the winter that line didn't freeze.
It just stays there because the washer heats its own water.
Your in south NJ...you do get freezing temps there so why bother removing only to replace it later
If you really want to just remove the cap on that line ...open the facet and run the pump until it runs clear (into a bucket). The procedure I just mentioned is how I got the antifreeze in that line in the first place so if it"s not working something is wrong.
