Washing Machine

When we are using the washing machine it shakes the coach. Does this happen
to every one. In our previous Tiffin this never happen. We have separate Whirlpool washer and dryer.

I believe it has a lot to do with where the washer is located in the RV. Our previous 5th wheel had the washer in the front closet and it did shake the coach. Our present coach is heavier and the washer is more centrally located and it shakes very little. Make sure it is fastened down good.

It should not shake the coach. It’s either overloaded, not installed squarely or something is wrong internally on the unit. I would have it looked at by your selling dealer or any NIRVC service center. Have you ran it empty to see how it does.

As the song goes, "Good, Good, Good Vibrations"!

Reality yes some moderate vibration, but load distribution in the machine will have some effect!

We just enjoy the fact we can "wash & dry" right in our Coach!

Ours is installed properly, works properly and it does shake some on the spin cycle. It's done it on both of our Dutch Stars.

I've had 1 coach with a combo that didn't shake at all and 2 coaches with stackables and both shake a little when going into a spin cycle. Maybe a little more when on the higher spin settings.

We have had 3 RVs and the washer in the spin cycle shakes the coach. I just assume it is normal. The installation appears good in all 3 cases.

I assume that your washing machine shakes fairly violently when using.

This occurred to our Splendide washing machine and we quit using it for a while. I called splendide and the customer service was great. They instructed me to remove the top of the washing machine to inspect the 2 springs which act as dampers while washing and spinning. Sure enough, one of the springs was not connected. Once the spring was connected back in its place, all staining stopped. They also told me that this "misbehavior" was much more prevalent on RV's where the washer was installed towards the rear of the coach.

There are a few videos on you tube to help you through the process.

Good luck.

I wonder if excessive shaking like that could (over time) cause problems with the seals on leveling jacks.

Ours also shakes the coach and it’s installed properly.

Our prior 2 coaches had the combo washer/dryer and we could feel some movement when it was running, but not significant. and both mounted mid coach. Current coach has the stack-able mounted in the rear door side corner and is noticeably more movement when running. Enough that the movement will often send our rear Nova awning in when running.

Yes, Splendide combined washer/dryer. Located in the front of the toy hauler garage. Only shakes motorhome in spin cycle. Not concerned about it.

I used to get shaking on my old Dutch Star. My London Aire does not shake. The only difference I can tell is their positions in the coaches are in different locations. The DS it was mid coach. The LA it is in the rear bathroom.
