Okay.... my 6 year old accidently left the water on in the bathroom this morning. He was trying to brush his teeth and we were filling so no water was coming out. He left it on (no water coming out) and once we had the tank filled full of 100 gallons of water we left to go sightseeing. We came home and the gray water was way over full (45 gallons) and water had been streaming through the coach. It seems like it went through the kicthen and hallway and then out. We are not sure to what extent the floor was damaged. We turned on the furnace to try to dry the floor from unnderneath and my husbannd has released a few pools from under the coach. I called our insurance company and am waiting to hear from the adjuster to see if any damage will be covered. Any hints on how else to dry the water up?

Sheesh, what a mess. I'd recomend that you get a dehumidifer in there ASAP.

We have two small dehumidifiers in it. We are currently at 35% humidity here. We thought of getting a bigger dehumidifier but I can't find one that says it can get you down to 10% or so.

I would seriously consider filing a claim with your insurance co just in case. Have it inspected and have them do a moisture check with a meter. If there's any particle board in the flooring, you could have a problem, however, most are plywood.

If it's any consolation, I had a similar accident and everything was fine after a drying out with heaters and dehumidifiers.

you might want to call a rug cleaner who does water extraction. They have machines that do a pretty good job. Its important to get the carpet up and dry ASAP or you will have mildew/smell. s/Toby

Best to get a water restoration company for some help. You need to get as much water sucked or blow out as possible. They can also apply a moldicide to help keep the mold down.

I just got off the phone with the insurance company. Any damage will be covered. They are sending an adjuster to look at it next week while we are at Disney.
