water entering in rear passenger side corner

Help.
Hello....I hope i can get some input here. ( 2004 Newmar Dutch Star 38' 3 slides ) In the very rear corner under the washing machine is a carpeted storage space . a couple of times the carpet was wet ( I do not believe it is washing machine related since i checked it each time i used the machine and no
dampness at all. Also no dampness on walls coming down from the machine. We did have some heavy rain and i noticed it after that. I am trying to figure out where the water seepage is coming from..
Any input is certainly appreciated...Thank you, allen
.

Allen,

This appears to be an old post but I would suggest looking at the seals around the slider. Also check to see if water is standing on top of the slider. If water is standing some times when the slider is brought in you will get water in the unit.

I had this problem on a 2008 KSDP 3910. Our floor plan has the small compartment under the washer. The dampness only appeared after rain. I found it by soaking a section at a time with a garden hose. It turned out to be the cyclops brake light in the center rear of coach. The gasket was pinched allowing water in and there was no caulk around the wire entering the backside of the brake light assembly indentation. Water would migrate along the steel structure supporting the end cap. All of this was covered in foam, so it never dripped in the engine compartment. It took 2 years of looking before I tried the garden hose method.

Hope this helps
