Water-mizer or Shower Valve

'18 Ventana 4037

Last season, rear bath shower worked fine. After de-winterizing last week, the shower flow is poor. Water pump does not run full time with water-mizer recurring water back to tank or to shower head.

Not sure what has changed other than the coach was winterized and de-winterized.

Any ideas appreciated on where to look.

Make sure the water heater bypass valves are correctly positioned - some coaches have 3 valves where 1 of the valves will be in a bypass hose between the other 2 - while other coaches will have a single valve that can be turned on 1 tank port, and a check valve on the other tank port.

Make sure you have all the valves correctly positioned.

Now home, so I had some time to dive into this. Research, which included a call to the service department at my dealer and Newgle indicated it was the shower valve as it has a trim valve on the hot and cold side that goes to the water-mizer. I found that deposits can restrict the trim valves.

I pulled the shower valve handle and bezel and found the trim valves. I just cycled them with a screwdriver about a half a turn in each direction and got plenty of flow back. Actually, better than I remember last year! They were stuck and took some effort to get to move!

My research also indicated that antifreeze can react with existing calcium or iron deposits that have not hardened yet and cause hardening resulting in exacerbating any existing restriction. So, I feel that just cycling the trim valves broke loose the buildup and now I've got a nice shower flow again.
