Water pump fuse location

I have a 2015 DS 4369 and cannot find the water pump fuse. I want to install a Flojet V-Flo 5 GPM pump and want to make sure the fuse is 15 amps. Current pump is 2.9 gpm with a 5 amp rating. I looked in the electric cord reel cabinet and the pump is not listed. Went to the electrical cabinet up front on drivers side and still no water pump fuse. Next I went inside to the half bath and no fuse. Running out of options unless it was not labeled on the fuse panel in the cord reel cabinet.

Help please.

Phil

2016 vtdp and dsdp is in the half bath fuse F8...only rated 10A.

I do not know how much work it would take to get 14ga wire run...or even if the relay system used in the Newmar is 15A capable. You could add a relay in the water bay with the existing pump power as the signal...and run a 15A 14awg wire from an empty fuse slot on the bulkhead behind the cord reel. Hopefully your black bag has the schematic...part of the fuse block is always powered...part is on the house disconnect switch. I would probably put it on the disconnect side of the fuse block.

Most welcome...and can't wait to hear about that invigorating shower. I wonder if anyone makes a pump that can be switched between low and high volume. That way you could select low for boondocking or high for FHU.

The pump controller in the 2015 Dutch Star is rated for 10A max. You need to add a relay to control a pump which can draw more. Since the cord compartment is close to the water bay, it is easy to add a new fuse or breaker and new 12 GA wire to supply the pump thru the relay.

May I suggest you just put a 15 amp fuse in place of the 10 and check the voltage at the pump while it's running. Chances are the wire is substantial enough to take the extra load. If the voltage is too low (<12V), then a relay is required.
Happy Showers!

Here's the PDF for the control relay...

I wouldn't suggest putting a 15 amp fuse on the circuit to just see what happens. The wire is more than likely not rated for 15a. I know the 105 degree insulated wire in open air can probably be less than 14ga...to handle 15A...but now you have the controller only rated for 10A as well.

Open up your fuse panel and take a look at the wire sizes coming FROM the various fuses. I'll bet there is no difference between the wire sizes from the 10 and 15 amp fuses. JMHO.
Cost and complexity at the factory rules out using multitudes of wire sizes.
