Water pump issues

I have a 2019 MA 4018. I changed out the water pump for a little bigger pump 5.5 gal @ 70 psi. When i turned it on it pressured up turned off and then nothing. I went to the fuse panel in half bath and the F8 10 amp fuse was blown so i removed the new pump and put the old pump back on, now it has power but will not come on as well as the water pump monitor lights on the key pads do not lite up. Any idea where i need to look for another blown fuse? The pump light on the main key pad in main box above the driver seat comes on. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

You burned out the 10 amp Intellitec latching controller with your 20 amp pump. No idea where to find it on your coach, though.

If you don't want to jump through a bunch of hoops running new dedicated wiring for the pump, use a Remco Aquajet next time.

From 2018 on, they quit using the Intellitec latching controller. They now use a KIB unit. Read this post, and search for other KIB water pump posts to help solve your issue.

If I recall that water pump circuit is rated at 10 amps. I've installed a more powerful water pump on both my Dutch Stars and didn't blow the circuit. You may have used a pump that draws too much amperage for that circuit.

If that's the case, a power down with the salesman switch may reset the KIB board. KIB uses 25A SPSTs on most of their stuff so it probably survived.

It's a relay so it might just reset it. The fuse protects the system so it should power back up.

I hate projects that "go south", but you always learn some new things.

I carried two of those Intellitec relays in my spare parts, a real Intellitec one and a cheap knock off that Newmar sent me. It wasn't too long ago I learned they were no longer being used for the water pump, so I lightened my parts box.
