We are considering a Bay Star 3113
Hello!
We are looking to upgrade from our 24' Class C. We have done research online, and yesterday we visited a dealership and a small RV show in Fort Meyers, FL.
So far, the Bay Star 3113 is the floor plan we like, and with a few options added, it would be perfect. We are impressed with what we are reading and hearing about Newmar quality.
Our Class C is on the Sprinter diesel chassis, and we never towed behind it. Before this, we towed a 35' 5th wheel with a 3/4 ton diesel truck. We do intend to purchase a small toad vehicle behind whatever coach we purchase.
We sure are attracted to the lower price tag of the gassers! Or, should we dip into the kids' inheritance and go with a diesel!!
We'd appreciate any and all feedback from anyone who owns this particular unit.
Thank you!

Welcome to the forum and possibly the Newmar family.
The Bay Stars are a popular coach on this forum for a gasser and many people have done some good mods with them in fact we have one member who upgraded his BS to be a Mountain Aire, you can find thread in QT's # 3 Bay Star Section of mods.
Here is a Brochure and Owners Guide for you.
Below in my signature you will find links to many more for the Newmar.
Enjoy the forum and safe travels in your Newmar.

How much are you going to use it, how long do you plan to keep it are two questioned if ask before dipping. A Ford V10 will be just fine for the 3113 and a small toad. Just what we do. If the size and floor plan fit your plans then don't over think.

That is the same floor plan as our 2015 3103. The king bed and window over the dinette were big selling points. Ours drives very well and tows out Jeep Wrangler Sport around 4K in weight with ease. We had an Airstream MB Sprinter Class B for 8 years before purchasing our Bay Star. We still feel like we are living like the Clamperts felt in the TV show "The Beverly Hilbillies." If I ever purchase another motorhome it will be a Newmar. By the way, get the back window and a Winegard Razr antenna if you aren't getting satellite.
Come on in the waters fine.

If that is the floor plan you like, you cannot go wrong with Newmar. We love our Bay Star.

We have the 3113 and LOVE IT! We've only had it for about 2 weeks and only spend one night in it so far but we love the quality and the floor plan. We will typically be doing weekend trips at least once a month and then a 2 week longer trip during the summer when the kids are out of school.
Can't go wrong with Newmar!

Forgot that we pull a Wrangler Unlimited that has 20" rims and 35" tires. It weighs about 4800#'s and it pulls great. We pulled a 7 % grade going home when we picked it up and it pulled up the hill just fine and we could talk just fine.

Well, thanks for your reply. We really love this floor plan, too. The king bed takes it over the top for us and the ability to get the bunk in front. Our current mh has it, and our grandkids love it.
I wonder if you can tell me which sofa you have? I think the jack knife comes standard? In some photos online I see sofas with two cushions and some with three? I'm wondering about comfort? Glad towing isn't an issue!
Hopefully, I'll be back here soon with pictures of our new Bay Star!
Thanks, again!

We have a 2014 3103. Get the 50 amp service and the 2nd AC unit and the rear window. Also the upgraded King mattress is great. Be aware, unless you are going to get the drop down bunk in the front, sleeping areas are limited. You can put a small child on the jack knife sofa but that's about it. That being said, You have picked a great coach, and a great manufacturer.
Good luck and enjoy.

Thank you, BPoland! Our wish list does include 50 amp, 2 AC units and the rear window. Had not thought about the upgraded mattress though, great tip. You're correct about sleeping areas. I forget there is no dinette that makes into a bed. I wonder if it's an option?? We sure love the table set up with the big counter area and window, though! Decisions!! 😉
Thanks for your thoughtful reply!
