Smile We did it! Ordered a Canyon Star 3515

After 7 years with our first RV, a '93 Class C, we have just ordered a new Newmar Canyon Star 3515 while at the Tampa Super Show. They say it will be ready in about 10 weeks and we can't wait. We had been leaning toward a T|[[|# but it just didn't have everything we wanted in a gas coach. The king bed and washer/dryer sealed the deal to say nothing of the beautiful fit and finish that Newmar delivers. Yippee!!! It cost us a little more than we had planned to spend but it seems worth it. We look forward to many happy years of learning from other Newmar owners through new friendships and the topics discussed on this owner's forum. Like we said..........YIPPEE ! (Sorry, we just can't wait. Very exciting!)

Congratulations, welcome to the family.

If you can't go and see it being built, call Newmar and talk to Michelle. She'll send you pics while it is on the line.

You made the good choice with a Newmar. I'm a DP guy but you will be really pleased with your new ride. Good luck and safe travels. Jim

I'd highly recommend that. My son and I visited while our coach was built and had a great time (even saw 6" of snow, we were living in NC at the time so it was a big event for him). We visited the plant for two days, they let us stay with the coach as long as we wanted after the tour, my son got a kick out of helping move the coach on the air cushions.

Good for you and a big congrat's. This will be the longest 10 weeks you ever experienced. So, do what I did. Go on-line and research every part you can think of......the engine, the transmission, any special options etc. I pre-read the operator's manual on about everything. Enjoy!

Welcome to the Forum and the ranks of Newmar Canyon Star owners. I'm sure you will have many happy travels in your new coach and IMO, you have picked one of the very best gas coaches out there. Hope you can get to the factory when your coach is being built, I did and it was an amazing experience. Good luck and post often.

Does Newmar have an option price sheet similar to what Tiffin does that is available to the public?

This is wonderful! You have all offered some great Comments, thoughts and ideas. Thanks for the input. Yes, these will be long weeks leading up to delivery. However, my DW has relatives who live about an hour away from the plant so we will probably "move in" on them once we receive the build schedule. Even if we don't stay at their place we hope to be close to Nappanee. Years ago we toured the plant of another Indiana manufacturer. It was enjoyable back then. We can only imagine what its like to be there when your coach is on the line.
As far as the inquiry about a "public" price list of options, etc.we didn't find one on line nor did we see one until we decided to build. Don't know what your nearest dealer would say if you asked for one???? It is probably worth a try.
BTW, the name we have chosen to use on the forum reflects the member of our family who will really own the CS.....our Long Dog ....Daschund..
We'll let you know how things go. Thanks again.
