The RV industry has long been a bell-weather for the economy, and the last 12 months sales of new RV's have been in moderate decline, tipping a slowdown. Unfortunately, the pandemic portends much more than that for these manufacturers; it's an all-out economic broadside and the damage will take years to recover from. And like 2008, they all won't make it the other side, only this time the brand disappearances will probably be even worse. That said, the Winnebago conglomerate (read Newmar) is stronger and better positioned than most in the industry, and they will probably survive, but recovery will be slow.
Like all the others impacted by this cursed pandemic, we should remember our friends who craft and support this hobby on our behalf.
