You are absolutely correct. I think it is going to get very ugly on the new sales side of things, at least for the foreseeable future.

Best of luck to all involved and keep the faith.

Things will get better soon but there will be challenging times ahead and hurdles to cross in the short term.

We booked a factory tour during the first week of May before all this hit the fan. As things got worse and worse I kind of figured they would close. Was going to tour the Entegra factory too during that week but am expecting they'll close too. I'm not disappointed given the circumstances, we'll just rebook the tours when things get better.

I wonder when the service center will close?

I am sorry to hear this. I know there are folks anxiously awaiting delivery of their new home on wheels and I feel badly for them.
On the other hand there are Mommies, Daddies, Daughters and Sons working in the plants. No one would want to see them exposed to sickness. It's best to send them home where they can hunker down and wait for the threat to pass.
As long as we are thinking along these lines why not heed all the warnings and stay out of harm's way ourselves and encourage others to do the same.

I hope it is not true, but I am hearing the service center is also closing for the same time period. Customers are having to reschedule for later.

I have found out this is a false statement. I hope so.

It is true, I got here 3 days ago for a 8 day warranty and some retail work. Tomorrow is the last day of service, workers were told around 3:00 pm today. This sucks but I feel terrible for the workers, I saw one of the techs in the supermarket he told me his wife and also his son work there. Very blessed to be sitting in this motorhome when so many peoples lives are getting turned upside down.

We were scheduled for our warranty appointment starting March 30.

Today at about 445 we received a call from Newmar canceling our appointment and rescheduling it into mid July 2020.

I feel for these people. Hopefully Winnebago/Newmar will work out some level of compensation for them.

My DS just started assembly last week. I wonder what they do with rigs in limbo?

Got the email this morning, the Bay Star that was to be at my dealer on April 15th probably won’t be there until late April early May. Not a big deal, if it keeps the Newmar staff from getting sick, I’m fine waiting a few extra weeks. Stay safe y’all.

Another business shut down...

Just heard on Youtube that Newmar is shutting down the factory for a few weeks because of the virus...

I receive the local news from the TV station near Forest City Iowa. They reported that Winnebago Ind will be paying all workers of factory operations for two weeks. That's the time period at this point. This is for around 5,000 factory workers across the brands.

Pretty sure they will then be entitled to some of the business bailout money which is necessary lest this Country really goes south in a handbag.
