Wet Bay

On the left of picture, I have not figured out what the open/close valve is for on tank rinse!

This relieves the pressure from the tank rinse. The idea is you finish the tank rinse, turn off the hose bib, and then turn this knob to drain the hose before disconnecting from the tank rinse connection.

Personally, I never use it.

You will want to use it for winterizing also. Open to let it drain and if you can, blow it out.

Down in Louisiana, I have never had to winterize except for opening low point drains. At home I am plugged into 50 amp power so I set furnace at 60 degrees. Cross my fingers never had a problem yet..

Also dealer had already installed water filter. I was going to order an extra one, does anyone know what size a 2015 DS uses. Once I get home I will be able to depressure water system and meausure, but I was ordering a few items this morning and thought I would through in a Watts filter.
Thanks David

Hi lakebuster,
On the water filter size question, mine is a Pure-Flow 6. Yours could be different. They look to be the same size. I have seen some coaches using a Pure-Flow 8. Consider calling Newmar CS to get the actual size.

I'm not sure, but aren't the number on the filter the type of filter rather than the size?

Hi firedoc,
There are several ways to measure a filter. The first is the physical size of the filter as it must fit the canister it is enclosed in. The next is what kinds of particles does the filter actually filter. Third is what is the smallest size particles the filter will not let through.

I have been using Whirlpool filters. I used the Pure-Flo filters and they plugged up in a short time due to all the junk added to the Naples Florida water. The Whirlpool filters seem to work well and serve us for most of the season.

On our '02 DSDP I just went to our local Fred Meyer (Kroeger owned) and picked up some of the particulate filter ones. Our ice maker and drinking water spigot had their own filters and I used some of the "removes everything" filters for them.
