What are these for?

I want to cleanup the roof. What are these antennas used for? CB? Radio? Can I remove them and run something else or cover them?

Thanks for your thoughts Click image for larger version

I think they might be CB.

Hi webbman57,
The answer is yes for both antennas. The rubber duck antenna is radio. The thin wire one is for CB.

Thanks, is it a good idea to remove them if I don't use them?

I believe that on current coaches, one is for the dash radio & the other for the Sony A/V receiver.

Welcome to the forum. Some future owner may appreciate the CB antenna. Removing it would just open up a possible leak. There could be a rather large hole if removed.

Thanks everyone. I quess leaving things that aren't broke alone on the rv is a good plan.

Do people still use CBs?

We did a 6000 mile tour this winter. We used the cb to get road reports from the trucks coming from the direction we were going. Was very helpful in bad weather.

I highly recommend the App Waze. I am certain there are far more Waze uses than CBers these days. It gives you directions and traffic alerts. It is a grea app.
