What is this?

I have a 2015 Ventana 4002. We drove from Livingston, MT, to Gardiner, MT to stay for a month on 5/13/22. The road is in horrible shape and being rebuilt (only way there). Could hardly go over 10MPH. When we arrived, the drawer under our induction cooktop was difficult to open. When we did get it open, we found this had fallen from under the cooktop.

Any idea what this is? How can it be put back? It looks like it was just epoxied in place.

TIA!

You might try looking for the installation manual of the cooktop to see if it can shed any light.

Also inspect the part with a “fine tooth” magnifying glass for any manufacturer’s identification.

And then maybe take a look at what the part was epoxied to. JB Weld makes a pretty darn good epoxy with which to epoxy it back into place.

I also have a 2015 Ventana 4002 with an induction cooktop. I just checked mine and removed they drawer below the cooktop. I got down on my knees with a flashlight and looked around. I have nothing in the area under the induction cooktop that even remotely looks like that. Sorry I could not help.

I tried to blow up your photo, but the quality is too poor. From what I could see, it almost looks like a piece of fiber material that might have been part of the packaging for the induction cooktop and wasn't removed when it was installed.

Don, thanks for getting back to me. It actually is made of pieces of the Corian countertop material. Newmar did get back to tell me it is a support for the induction cooktop and some schematics, but no other help. Will leave the Ventana expert a voicemail to call me back for clarification and guidance.

I would remove that upper drawer, extend it and flip the black levers on the sides, one up and one down and slide the drawer out. The reason I thought it was packing material, is that it's the same shape and possibly the same dimensions as the underside of the cooktop.

It was probably glued to the underside to keep the cooktop square in its place.

Once you figure out where it goes, I would give Sika adhesive a try to attach it. That stuff is amazing.

Here's a couple of pictures from my 2015 Ventana 4360.
The brace came loose on my coach a few years ago. The brace holds the end of the drawer slides. The brace was held in by pressure between the top of the dishwasher and the bottom of the countertop.
I discovered it when the drawer wouldn't close properly. When I reinstalled it I used adhesive to hold both the bottom and top.

You need to lift the cooktop out. Use a thin blade to break the seal under the glass edge and it will lift out. You can then re-install the support frame. This is how it should look.
