What is this filter for?

I just purchased a used 2016 Dutch Star 4002, and am wondering what the filter up front by the generator is for. I have attached a photo.

What is this filter for?

Likely the fuel filter for your Aquahot. If you donít know itís history this should be changed along with the burner nozzle. This should be part of your annual service unless you use the Coach little during a specific year

It's your Oasis Hydronic Heating fuel filter. You should buy and carry a service kit for your Oasis. The kit comes with an igniter, some small internal air filters and that fuel filter.

On a trip a few years back, I had the igniter go bad. I carry a spare, saving the trip. Servicing the Oasis is about a 30 minute job and very easy to do, there is a You Tube video you can watch. The bulk of the service time is in taking all the screws off the front cover.

When I service my Oasis, every two years, I replace the spare with the new kit and do the service with the spare kit. You can buy the kit from ITR (Oasis parent company) for about $125.00.

Thanks everyone. I am seriously amazed at the lack of documentation on these RVs.

I'd say that , documentation probably existed when the coach left the factory, then dealers and previous owners , didn't do there best to keep it intact and with the RV.

After two POs , I got every document that was in my coach when it left the factory ; and those documents saved my bacon , more than once.

Only issue I have is the factory VHS tape , my player is long gone .
