What is this plastic cover for

Iím camped out at Buffalo Lake National Wildlife Refuge near Amarillo Texas. Weíre the only ones here. Quite and nice except for the 40-60 mph winds that were currently experiencing.

I stepped out and found this plastic cover lying on the grass just outside the door and I cannot figure where it belongs. It looks like it would snap around a shaft/rod of some sort, but that pure speculation. Does anyone have an idea what itís for?

I was thinking the same, but with nothing beside it to tell the size, it could well be a wiper nut cover.

The cover was found about a foot from the entrance steps next to the stool. Itís definitely not a cover for the wiper blade arms and it doesnít seem to be a part of any of the Girard awnings or slide toppers. My first thought was that it was a cover for the arm at the top of the entrance door, but no luck there.

Itís always possible that the wind blew it and it landed right next to my door, but given that this grassy campground is significantly underutilized, I somewhat doubt it.

That is a cover for the wiper arm nut. Probably off another coach as I don't know if your MA has them. I did lose one on our last trip, but we weren't in Amarillo.

Ok, Iím convinced that it is a wiper arm cover, itís just not for my coach or toad . Iím guessing that Mother Nature blew it next to my coach just so that she could play games with me. Thanks.

Ol' Ma Nature has a quirky sense of humor at times!

If you pull out your wiper arms to wash the windshield, that cover moves outward with the arm, if you're not careful and make sure it snaps back into place, it can fall off.....don't ask me how I know.

It's really weird that one ends up next to your coach.

Or......maybe one of our pilots can look at it and tell us what type of airplane or chopper it may have came off of.
