What would YOU offer for this MH?

Really like it and the layout, assuming it is in very good condition and needs nothing.

Seems a bit high $$ wise, though.

Have you checked comparable units and their pricing?
I would want to see it in person before I offered anything for it. Pictures can tell alot. They can also hide alot.

If it is good condition and it is what you like I think it is a fair deal.
We had a 2008 Southwind gas had alot of good times in it.

The low mileage, 27000mi on a 10yr old coach translates to about 2700 per year which means it has sat a lot and that would bother me personally.

See if you can get the service records on the CS. It can tell you a lot about how well it was taken care of. The mileage translates to taking around a 300 mile trip every month. If you have qualms about it have it inspected by an independent certified RV tech. The CS is a well built coach.

50 to 55% of original sticker plus any add ones you like less something for the new tires you now need or will soon need based on age.

This looks suspiciously like a 2007 model, the 2008 Canyon Star has a one piece windshield, full body paint, and 22.5" wheels, this one definitely has a two piece windshield, does not have full body paint and looks like it has 19.5" wheels. Workhorse chassis was not offered in 2007 for this model (at least in the brochure) so that may be why it's listed as a 2008. If you could get the VIN you could get the exact year and build info from Newmar, either online or by phone.

Given that it is a 2007, it's an OK price, the dealer probably has some wiggle room. NADAGuides will give you the range or values for this coach. You'll need to add about $1500 for the Workhorse chassis because they don't list it (I figured the price difference from the 2008 model).

Good catch, if you read the description on the add, it starts out as a 2008 and then switches to a 2007.

Why would low mileage bother anyone?

If there are no major issues to be dealt with I would offer $34,000 and then negotiate if needed up to a maximum of $39,000.

Anything coming out of Florida right now would need a very close inspection after the hurricane. Could have possible flood damage or marks on the exterior due to blowing debris.

Because (as already pointed out) it likely sat more than it was on the road. This makes the unit suspicious for whether or not all mechanical parts (engine, transmission and generator) were exercised on regular basis to keep gaskets and seals lubricated.

Another thing that would be highly suspect is the age of the tires. If they are over the "age out date" (You can google that on iRV2) they should be replaced as well as the belts and hoses on the engine.

If I were buying this unit I would inspect all of the things I can see and would have an oil analysis done on the engine and generator. Just my $0.02.

Oh, and Winneman above had a VERY good point.

Email back from salesman:

"Hello Eric. The only #s I can find on tires is G670RV.................245/70R195. The tread is LOW. It says Regroovable on the tires. They are Goodyears. Im working on the vin."

Doesn't really tell me size (19.5" vs 22") or year - sounds like original tires.
