What's under the platform?

We are removing the old couch from our DS and replacing with theater seating.

There is a 5" platform the old couch sat on and it would be great if I could remove it or redo it. Has anyone taken the platform apart and could tell me what is under there I would really appreciate it.

I have my couch apart (removing 3" from the arm rests to slide it back further) and the boxed area has the slide motor, seat belt mounts under it and the couch screws down to it.. Not sure if they stick up or not.

I called my dealer (NIRVC) and there are rollers under there for the slide mechanism.

I went to the hardware store and bought some table legs to see if I can get them to work on the front of the new theater seats. If not I'll take the top of the platform apart and extend it.

I extended ours. I took off the existing carpet, added a new layer of plywood extending it out about 4 inches on one side and 6 inches on the other. I also boxed it in under the new front edge and boxed in the back where the electrical and plumbing had been covered by the couch back. Then re-carpeted the new platform. This was done very soon after we bought the coach in January 2014.
