Does anyone know what type of filter Newmar uses in their single cartridge 10" container on a 2019 DS. I need to replace the element but no markings to tell what type, filtration level? charcoal?

Most people just go back with a standard taste and odor cartridge which is partially activated carbon

FYI, the one in our 2019 Bay Star is a MAXVOC-975. Ordered it on Amazon.

Thanks, Isn't that a .5 micron filter, do you notice any drop in pressure with that filter in place?

I've used 3M Filtrete 5 micron whole house sediment filter replacement filters in the previous and current coaches. They're rated for 6 month replacement per the packaging. I pick them up at WalMart cheap, sorry I can't remember the price.

We camped approximately 60 nights each year in the old coach and I would change the filter once a year after I sanitized the fresh water system. Never had a problem.

The original filter in the new coach got rock hard and would not allow water to flow or to fill the tank after just 5 months and only about 30 nights of use. I was perplexed at first and finally removed that filter...normal water flow was restored. I tossed that original filter and replaced with the same 3M Filtere 5 micron element noted above...water flows as desired. If I buy a different Newmar coach, the first thing I do is chuck the factory filter for a 3M.
