Welcome aboard! If you put your rig model and year in your signature, or in your post, you will get more accurate answers for any question.
For this particular question, it also might help if you let us know the parking description - level or not, surface material (cement, mud, snow, etc).

For me the answer is why not use them? They sure keep the coach from rocking.

If you have a "Absorption Fridge", it likes to be fairly level when operating............other than that, if you are not going to be using the Coach, park it and let her sit. Does not hurt anything to drop the suspension and put the jacks down......

You say you're parked on level ground, so no need for the jacks.
If you were parked on a grade AND you have an RV fridge (as opposed to a residential model) AND the fridge is turned on - then you'd want to level the rig because those refrigerators need to be pretty much level when turned on.

Agree with others. If refer is running, the coach should be level. If the coach is already level, the only other reason to lower the jacks is to stabilize the coach - so you don't feel the bouncing when somebody is walking around.

I would be very cautious about using them on any surface but concrete, particularly without "blocks" under them, as they might poke through something like "blacktop" (particularly in the heat). Some campgrounds, whose surface is not concrete, will not allow jacks to be used without the use of blocks.
