Where is the VIN?

...where is the VIN number on a 2007 MADP? I need to get this verified by the local law enforcement for registration purposes.

Not sure about a Newmar, but on my previous coaches it was on a plaque on the wall next to the drivers seat.

Mine is on the inside one Kitchen cabinet door, I have another beside drivers seat, I also have a number on my Cummins Engine with an engraved plate: This one is the one I used for DMV verification. Just open your engine cover compartment. Also I would think your bill of sale would have it, even my temporary Insurance card had it.

I believe DOT requires vehicle identification/specs to be close to drivers seat. My 05 MADP is on post behind drivers seat close to floor.

My 05 Essex has 2 placards on the wall behind the driver seat ... very difficult to see unless the slide is extended. If you need to drive the RV to a location for inspection, you may be able to convince the officer that taking a picture and reviewing it is a good idea.

There are yellow stickers throughout the vehicle as noted above, also on the screen door, kitchen cabinet, and next to drivers seat in mine.

Our Freightliner Chassis came to Newmar with two VIN number plates. On our rear Radiator Chassis...one of the plates was riveted to the frame...just above the radiator. The other plate is designed to be broken apart from the other, for Newmar to attach to the coach somewhere else. (We saw this during construction).

As someone else stated...the chassis also has a decal...with the VIN number. It also has the date the chassis was built. I would raise the grills and look for the plate and decals attached to the chassis.
