Heise Hot Springs just outside of Ririe Idaho. That's our rig lower left. Great view from the hilltop.

We fled from the HEAT, drought, and wildfires that have been dogging us across the West & NW. It's all our fault.
So now it's a record stretch of sunshine, still, but at least we found days @70, nights @55 and no smoke! Pacific Shores, Newport OR

Different places. For us, probably Mountain Falls. Lake Greenwood is really JUST getting started even though it has been here 10+ years. Mountain Falls is just beyond anything we've even seen for a RV resort. If it isn't the nicest place in the US it must be VERY close. But there is no Lake view or access there. Still the views there are STUNNING! The Smoky Mountains. Lake Greenwood . . . we are ON THE LAKE. We are just renting but we on the lake. Most lots here are completely undeveloped. We got VERY lucky and met some full timers on this forum who REALLY helped us here. We use a tow dolly that you can't move by hand and they have NO trailer service here. So unless your dragging a truck to move your trailer . . . . you're in trouble here.
If you are considering either and have questions PM me. There are pros and cons to both places.

We are heading up to Mountain Falls on Thursday. We are coming from Apple Valley Farms southeast of Asheville. Do you know how hard the drive is coming in from the East? I've heard it can be tricky.

There are only 2 ways into Mountain Falls that I know of . . . we came in from Bevard which is east of Mountain Falls. As I said in a prior post . . . this drive is NOT for the faint of heart! There are about 5 miles of 20mph switch backs the last 5 miles you drive. If you don't feel 100% comfortable driving your coach . . . you may want to reconsider this trip. We're 45' plus a tow dolly and car makes it about 65' - 70' long. Also . . . there are a number of people driving Pervost with 30' stackers there. People make it there all the time but I'm sure there have been accidents getting there. Tractor trailers are not suppose to be on this road (Rt 64) but we past several during the week we were there including one in the turns with the coach. On a bright note . . . it is a BEAUTIFUL place. I'm not aware of anything else quite like it.

We are staying at Indian Springs Campground. Mailing address is Hildenbran, which is near Hickory, NC. Nice place with 50amp and full hookups.
