Florida Grande in Webster, FL

We are settled into our snowbird location in Webster, FL. The Florida Grande is a nice Class A/Super C resort with large paved pads, clubhouse, activities, pool, pickleball courts, good bike riding, good OTA TV, weak Verizon, and available WiFi (pay extra).

Have been meaning to visit there. Had to cancel reservation just this week. It seems to be a bit out in middle of nowhere. Is there grocery shopping and stuff to do nearby?

It is remote, which is what we like about it. No road noise, no airplanes, and no trains. We like the quiet roads for bike riding. The town of Webster has a big flea market on Monday and a Farmer's Market on Saturday, along with a Family Dollar and Dollar General, plus a butcher shop and 2 small restaurants.

Florida Grande has lots of activities including Food Trucks (monthly), Line Dancing, Yoga, Zumba, poker and other card games, BINGO, weekly happy hour, monthly entertainment (Elvis this month), pool, hot tub, billiards/card room, arts & crafts room, pickleball, shuffleboard, etc.

Walmart and Winn Dixie are 12 miles away (Bushnell). Publix and Winn Dixie are 15 miles away (Okahumpka/Leesburg). We're about 30 minutes from the southern end of The Villages.

Pismo Coast Village RV Park

Staying at Pismo Coast Village for a few days, our first time and will be back for sure. Nice clean park, close walk to the beach and down town Pismo. Quiet with large sites for various RV types.

Nice place. We've stayed there a few times. Got stranded there once for 3 days when we picked up our rig from service nearby.

McChord A.F.B. Wa.

We're at the FamCamp at McChord AFB. finishing our final prep before we head South in search of warmer climates, and lots of sunshine. Temps here have been in the mid. to upper 50's here recently... But alas we want to be gone from here before it gets cold, and/or snowy, especially across Siskiyou summit on I5 on the Ore/Cal border.. Although if needed, I can always divert at Eugene to Florence Ore, and take US 101 south along the coast to bypass the mountains....Our next campground will be the FamCamp at Beal AFB......
