Ask at Union Landing State a Beach (Northern Ca US 1) again. Was here a few weeks ago but can’t stay away. Rolled in at 8pm las nite and lucked in to an ocean front site.

Paradise with an ocean view

City of Houghton RV Park, Houghton, MI

This is our first visit to the UP of Michigan and we found a great campground in Houghton, MI (City of Houghton RV Park). We have a site right on the Pilgrim River with cable, WiFi, 50 amp, FHU service. Roads and sites are paved. The Pilgrim River splits the peninsula and joins Lake Superior on both ends. One windy day last week the lake looked like an ocean!

We’ve never been up to MI before. We’re thinking about going up to the UP for the fall. Any other recommendations???

We're at Pictured Rocks RV Park in Munising. Newer park with wide sites, good power and good cell reception on both AT&T and Visible.

We took the Pictured Rocks Cruise yesterday and really enjoyed seeing all of the formations from the water.

I would recommend you have some "warm" cloths especially if you aren't accustomed to Northern US weather. We spent many a September there and it can get cold fast. (upper 30s to lower 40s)

Enjoy. We were in site 50. On the end with lots of space on the door side of the coach and we never got a neighbor on the off-door side.

AND, it is near to one of the best Pasty and large cruller donuts shops, Roys.. I stayed 2.5 months in the area including Hancock RV park in 2014 after the UP Rally. Grandpaw's homestead in the UP awarded in 1905. I start to remember even more Finish when there.

Houghton, MI

We had our first Pasties from Roy's and also bought them twice more from other bakeries - all of them were very tasty!

We had a nice sunset last night - our last night in Houghton.
