Where were you with your NEWMAR today?

[QUOTE=fagnaml;6243352]This past Saturday (7/9/22) the wife and I, our three kids, their spouses and seven grandkids returned from a wonderful five day Galveston Island beach vacation. We stayed at the Galveston Island KOA Holiday resort --> https://koa.com/campgrounds/galveston/

The wife and I stayed in our motorhome while each kid and their family stayed in one of the nice on-site cabins. We rented six-seater golf carts to drive to the beach directly across from the KOA to enjoy the nice Gulf of Mexico water, enjoy driving on the beach, take grandkids on rides through the campground, etc. The golf cart rental business is located next door to the KOA. This KOA is about 20 miles from the city of Galveston which is close enough to enjoy all that the city has to offer (we spent a couple of hours on a historical / dolphin watching boat ride followed by time on the Pleasure Pier). One afternoon, the kids and their spouses enjoyed The Strand and dinner in Galveston while the wife and I enjoyed the KOA's lazy river, pool, jump pad, playground, etc. with our seven grandchildren.

Highly recommend the Galveston Island KOA Holiday for a family beach vacation![/

Teddy Roosevelt NP in ND. Lots of buffalo and wild horses. Temperature in high 90’s. Caught a cold from wife and had to sit out most of the activities we came here for
The Medora campground is large and full service but gravel sites. We lucked out and got in the row that has large trees on each side of the pull through sites

Breezy Hill Campground, Fond du Lac, WI

We are in Fond du Lac, WI (near Oshkosh) and staying at the Breezy Hill Campground. The EAA Airventure (Experimental Aircraft Association) is happening this week and we hope to attend at least one day. Lots of airplanes in the sky, including a "fly-in" last night at the local ice cream parlor (Kelley Country Creamery).

The campground has gravel roads and sites, 50amp FHU, playground, pool, etc. Verizon and OTA TV are excellent.

Yellowstone’s Edge. Can’t use the north entrance, but enjoying watching the mountains erode.

We are new to the RV Life. Living in Central Ohio. Looking to travel to Northern Minnesota in a few weeks.
So far we are liking it. Only real issue is how to sanitize the fresh water tank?

Nice to hear that it works for you. Our daughter and her family stayed there this week in a covered wagon - a great memory for her kids.

I grew up about thirty miles from there - before there was a campground there. We make a point of returning once a year. It can be hot and dry

I am sure there are videos on You Tube. They're also some commercial sanitizers available to use. I have used bleach and let it set 24 hours in the lines before flushing. Simply draw it into the fresh water tank like using antifreeze in the winter. go in and turn on each faucet until you smell the bleach and then shut the faucet off and let it sit 24Hrs. Then FLUSH FLUSH FLUSH with clean clear water from a filtered source until the bleach smell subsides.
Good luck.

Country Roads Motorhome and RV Park, Wisconsin Dells

Country Roads Motorhome and RV Park in Wisconsin Dells, WI is close to all the touristy stuff, but far enough from the road to be nice and peaceful. Lots of nice scenery nearby including Devil's Lake State Park.

Pickleball courts in a public park are about 2 miles away.

Most sites are 50 amp FHU, roads and sites are gravel, OTA TV is OK with an external antenna, Verizon is good, campground WiFi is weak.

The weather is not cooperating for pictures, but the view is epic. Interesting drive up the mountain following the host.
