Where your tires are made.

I spent over 30 years working in tire manufacturing and get asked a lot how to tell where a tire is made. First of all the country of origin should be on the tire. But if you are unable to find it, the location of the manufacturer is indicated in the first 2 letters or numbers of the DOT code. Here is a link to a place you can look it up. All the D.O.T. Tire Plant Codes
It not only gives you the country but the city as well. Hopefully no one will need this but may be nice to know.

When I go to that link the first thing on the site is this statement:

THESE TABLES ARE FALLING OUT OF DATE WITH FREQUENT MANUFACTURE CHANGES. I SUGGEST YOU SEARCH THE NHTSA MANUFACTURER DATABASE AT: https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/mid/

I went into the NHTSA site, but it seems to be a search for a manufacturer, not anything based on a code on the tire.
