Whirlpool Gold res fridge control panel?

Hi all,
We have a factory installed 3 door fridge in our canyon star with water and ice in door. The control panel lights just went out and fridge stopped working. interior lights still come on when door is opened, but no cooling. I checked all breakers and nothing has tripped. Ice is starting to melt and no function from control panel what so ever. I tried holding various button combinations down for 3 seconds but to no avail. Any ideas? is there a reset button?
TIA
Milo

Time for the repair man. If you have lights then you have 120 volt power.

I always, as a first attempt at repair of anything electrical, unplug it, let it sit for a few minutes and then reconnect (reboot).

You can "unplug" it by turning off the circuit breaker in the cabinet.

If you have to have it repaired, I know many repairman don't want to work on it inside an RV, especially if it can't be pulled out. I would be prepared to pull it out and have it accessible so they will be willing to work on it. Maybe not even tell them it's in an RV.

whirl pool update

Well I finally found a tech who would/could repair the fridge as long as I had it pulled out of its cabinet. (big job). Mainboard needed replacing. There was only 1 available in all Las Vegas. the Sears tech was InTouch with whirlpool tech throughout the repair process. It turns out via serial # search, our fridge is a 2008 model in a formerly brand new 2013 Canyon Star. WTF. is Newmar doing putting 5 year old appliances in brand new motorhomes?? Tech said due to its vintage, it will be near impossible to get parts for the next repair However we are now back in business with fridge fully operational

Are they saying it was built in 2008 or is a 2008 model. It should have a build date on the inside of the refer on the tag.

Get me the model and serial number of the refrigerator and I can tell you how old it is and the availability of the parts

whirlpool model and vin#

Hi Cormorant, The info you requested:

The Model # is :GI0FSAXVY011
VIN # is : K25113042

The breakdown of# 's is from the Whirlpool tech, Not the Sears tech. He was the bearer of bad news. Also stated the control panel is no longer available, therefore if that goes next the fridge would no longer be repairable. What u think?
TIA Milo

Whirlpool refer

The control part is a WPW10312695. it is true that it is currently on factory back order but they are lots of them in the supply chain. I fix these things for a living and it is a part Istock and could easily get my hands on at least 50 of them by tomorrow. i don't think that it will go NLA quite yet.

Your refrigerator was built in the last week of December 2012.

Bob
